A tried and tested brightening shampoo reccommended to us by Jemma - Isamu Rattery.

This tail cleaning shampoo should be used ONLY for cleaning tails and paws. 

• only a tiny spot of purple shampoo is needed as a little goes a long long way!! 
• gently brush the tail from base to tip
• a soft baby toothbrush is ideal
• rinse well in plenty of tepid water

Please be aware that tails are usually only cleaned to prepare for shows. 

Bathing is generally not needed for pets, a quick wipe with a damp cloth can be used for sticky spots.

If you want to allow your pets the opportunity to splash around in water then we suggest a bowl of water in the cage or during free range time is best.  This allows your pet to choose to have water fun as not all rats enjoy this activity.
