Degu Science Selective with Broccoli & Basil is a unique, baked, complementary diet, formulated to meet the very special nutritional requirements of degus. This carefully and scientifically-chosen blend of high quality ingredients is designed to mimic the natural diet of a degu, which requires a very low fat diet and high levels of vitamin C together with high quality alfalfa-based fibre to aid healthy digestion and to promote dental wear. Fresh hay and water should always be readily available.

Feeding Instructions

If you are feeding Selective to your degus for the first time, make sure you change from one food to another, gradually over 10-14 days. At first, you should mix a small amount of Selective with your degu' current food, slowly decreasing the old diet, whilst gradually increasing the quantity of Selective. A sudden change in diet can cause digestive upsets - even when you are changing to a better quality diet - so take care!

If your degus are used to a sugary diet, you may find it takes them a while to change, but persevere as it will help to benefit their health in the long term. And don't forget fresh hay and water! Your degus should have an unlimited supply of both at all times.

Feeding Guide

The average adult degu will require approximately 20-30g/day of Supreme® Science Selective Degu. Selective can be fed to appetite, however weight and wellbeing should be monitored regularly. Fresh hay and water should always be available.
